What Is Paragon Academy?
We are changing the martial arts world. At Paragon, we believe in a gym culture for all. Established in 1998, Paragon Brazilian Jiu Jitsu was established by Ricardo "Franjinha" Miller in Santa Barbara, CA. The team quickly became a powerhouse in International Jiu Jitsu competition, as Franjinha produced several World Champion students. In 2008 Franjinha joined forces with partner Sean Apperson and they created the new Paragon Academy in Santa Barbara, CA. In 2017 Franjinha, Sean Apperson, and John Sandoval joined forces to create Paragon Goleta Inc. The new gym offers exceptional kickboxing, boxing, and bjj classes.
