The Pala Band of Mission Indians is located in northern San Diego County. The majority of the enrolled members live on a 12,000-acre reservation established for Cupeno and Luiseno Indians. Together, these people consider themselves to be one proud nation –the Pala. The leadership at Pala, as guided by the Chairman and the Executive Committee, continuously work to improve the economic development of the Tribe. Through strategic planning to create a diversified business portfolio, the Pala Band of Mission Indians offer gaming and non-gaming entities. Pala Casino Resort & Spa is Southern California's Most Spectacular PlaygroundTM which offers all the excitement of Las Vegas. The Pala Fox Raceway offers a variety of dirt bike courses for beginners to professional racers and accommodate many types of equipment including motocross, quad, peewee and UTV’s. The Pala Shooting Range is the only range in Southern California with a range that reaches out to 887 yards. Rez Radio 91.3 is a non-commercial FM station owned and operated by the Pala Band of Mission Indians for the benefit of residents of the community of Pala and surrounding area. Pala Fitness Center offers an assortment of group classes, individual exercise options and three dozen different machines. Pala Skate Park was designed by award winning skate park designer, Wally Hollyday, to be used by skateboarders and BMX riders. Pala aims to make an impact on the community through education, cultural and environmental programs. The educational programs are structured to help community members strategize and set goals in order to achieve their personal educational objectives. The Cupa Cultural Centers is dedicated to protecting traditions and preserving history. The annual Cupa Days celebration takes place on the first weekend of May. The Pala Tribe’s Environmental Department strives to protect the air, water, land, and culture of the Pala Reservation.
