What Is Out For Undergrad?

Out for Undergrad is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to helping high potential LGBTQ undergraduates reach their full potential in their careers. The organization hosts four annual conferences: Out for Undergrad Business Conference (O4U Business), Out for Undergrad Technology Conference (O4U Tech), Out for Undergrad Marketing Conference (O4U Marketing) & Out for Undergrad Engineering Conference (O4U Engineering). O4U's conferences are designed to help LGBTQ students develop as leaders and individuals. Via a series of learning modules, students are guided through the cultivation of industry-specific skills, the development of coaching relationships, and discussions centered around being LGBTQ-identified in the workplace. The O4U conferences bring together the nation's most high-potential undergraduate leaders for a weekend of education, inspiration, community building, and career development. O4U Business is for students interested in careers in financial services, management consulting, and accounting. O4U Tech is aimed at students interested in careers at the world's leading tech companies. O4U Marketing is for students pursuing a career in marketing, branding or product development. O4U Engineering is geared towards students interested in defense & aerospace, energy, hardware, and mechanical engineering. Out for Undergrad began in 2004 as the Out for Undergrad Business Conference at Cornell University. The conference was geared towards LGBT undergraduates interested in pursuing careers in management consulting and investment banking, two industries that have been historically perceived as less friendly to LGBT students. Out for Undergrad is run by an all-volunteer team of young professionals and a national Board of Directors. The organization's alumni number in the thousands and comprise a cohort of exceptional LGBT professionals in impressive, diverse careers around the globe.
