Linda and Jeff Riach started Oakworks®, Inc. in 1978.Oakworks is a company built on the Riach’s profound personal experiences and belief system. Massage training moved from seminars to schools of higher education, and Oakworks® nurtured the development and the relationships of these young schools and educators. As activists for the importance of massage, the Riachs have actively partnered with the massage community by supporting such organizations as FSMTA, ABMP, the AMTA Foundation, Touch Research Institute and the Canadian Touch Research Institute. In addition, they have backed legislative drives that worked to further the professional image and creditability of the massage industry, and have acted with Emergency Response Teams through both financial and equipment donation.
