NuRock was created with a dream in mind, "putting people on the path to independent productive citizenship". The vast majority of parents leasing apartments for their family are simply looking for a decent and affordable place to raise their children. The BreakOut effort, as well as NuRock as a whole, are dedicated to one simple proposition: "limited time of a parent does not mean a limited future for the child!" In 1993, NuRock's founders began making dreams come true by making a difference in the lives of residents at their first community. As a team, they began working to build more than just an apartment with four walls. Instead, they created a community that strived to listen to the needs of its residents and their families.
