Northland College Revenue and Competitors

If you're expecting Northland’s psychology curriculum to be built around ponderous textbooks, sterile white coats, and lugubrious lectures on Viennese theorists, prepare to be surprised. In fact, you may have trouble catching up with most Northland psych majors. Some may be attending staff meetings of caseworkers at a local mental health agency, discussing diagnoses, medication levels, and other needs of clients. Other students will be deep in the back country of the million-acre Chequamegon National Forest, looking for the subtle signs of wolf packs. Students in the Psychology of Learning course can be found at the community animal shelter, putting conditioning techniques to work training and socializing feral dogs.
