Northeastern Conference Revenue and Competitors

The Northeastern Conference of Seventh-day Adventists is a subsidiaryof the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists that administers 144 Seventh-day Adventist churches, and 16 parochial schools (15 elementary and 1 secondary), within the states of Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. It was organized in 1945, and is one of nine Regional Conferences organized in North America. The Northeastern Conference at its inception was comprised of a membership of 2,208, in 15 churches, with 6 ordained ministers. Presently the membership stands at 46,000 plus in 151 churches, with 105 ordained ministers, and 100 teachers. In addition to the churches and schools, the Northeastern Conference owns and operates a 98 acre camp and conference center in Hyde Park, New York, and a Senior Citizens Home in Jamaica, New York. In its 56 years history, the Northeastern Conference has experienced tremendous growth, and continues to keep pace in its evangelistic thrust. God has blessed us to enter the twenty-first century as the fourth largest conference in regards to membership, and the fourth in tithe income. For this, we give glory to God for His multitudinous blessings.
