In 1974, we started the optical coating company known as North American Coating Laboratories. NACL Inc. is an Ohio-based optical coating manufacturer that got its start creating thin film optical coatings for Rx lenses in the ophthalmic world. Since then, we’ve created new divisions and honed new processes that allow us to provide thin film optical coatings for a number of industrial purposes. These applications include the coating of aircraft windshields and various other polymer and glass-based mediums requiring either physical or chemical protection based on the industry. We have the capability of handling small- and large-scale productions and can accomplish such via multiple optical coating methods. We also manufacture optical coatings and thin film coatings for use in the ophthalmic and industrial fields.
