What Is Nonprofit Leadership Alliance?

Since 1948, the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance, formerly American Humanics, has strengthened the social sector by developing a well-prepared and talented workforce. The Nonprofit Leadership Alliance's flagship programs, the Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP) credential and, Leaderosity work to strengthen social-impact organizations from the inside out by providing cost-effective talent development and recruitment solutions. The CNP credential is a leadership development program that provides emerging social-impact leaders with the foundational knowledge and experiences critical for nonprofit career success. The CNP is offered at the undergraduate and graduate level through the Alliance's network of campus partners. It is also available completely online through a 12-month program geared toward working professionals. Leaderosity is an online learning platform with a goal of democratizing leadership training. It allows organizations to house their own trainings for staff and volunteers on a branded online platform, providing them with better results at a smaller financial investment. Independent research conducted in 2014 by LinkedIn shows that CNPs stay in the sector on average 50% longer than their non-CNP peers. CNPs are seven times more likely to reach a leadership position.
