Technical Olympic USA, Inc. designs, builds and markets detached single-family residences, town homes and condominiums. It conducts homebuilding operations in 14 metropolitan markets, located in four major geographic regions: Florida, the Mid-Atlantic, Texas and the West. In 2003, the Company delivered 6,135 homes. Technical Olympic markets its homes to a diverse group of homebuyers, including first-time homebuyers, move-up homebuyers, homebuyers who are relocating to a new city or state, buyers of second or vacation homes, active-adult homebuyers and homebuyers with grown children who want a smaller home (empty-nesters). As part of its objective to provide homebuyers a seamless home purchasing experience, Technical Olympic has developed, and is expanding, its complementary financial services business. As part of this business, it provides mortgage financing and closing services and offers title, homeowners' and other insurance products.
