Our mission is to be at the forefront of creating sustainable communities by developing, redeveloping, and preserving quality housing that strengthens low- and moderate- income families, allows seniors to age with dignity, provides stability for the formerly homeless, and affords all residents opportunities to realize their dreams. *Housing Development, redevelopment and preservation *Property Management *Tenant Advocate Program (TAP) that links NNI tenants with existing community based self-sufficiency resources and programs *Advocacy of sustainable and affordable housing policies. New Neighborhoods, Inc. (NNI ) is a 501(C)3 nonprofit housing corporation based in Stamford, CT and working throughout Fairfield County, Connecticut. The oldest actively operating nonprofit housing developer in Fairfield County traces its beginnings to1967 when it was spun off by the Stamford Council of Churches (now the Interfaith Council). Working both independently and in collaboration with other private and public sector entities, NNI has developed, redeveloped and preserved more than 600 affordable rental and ownership housing units in the city of Stamford, Norwalk, and Danbury, manages nearly 450 units of low and moderate income family, supportive, and senior rental housing in Stamford, Norwalk and Danbury, has helped countless families to home ownership. Plans on the drawing board would add up to 200 additional units of affordable ownership, rental and supportive housing in Fairfield County, Connecticut communities over the next couple of years.
