We set the standard for quality, independent living for people with disabilities. New Horizons, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has three Connecticut-based Centers: New Horizons Village - A 101 resident apartment community, offering adults with physical disabilities the opportunity for self-directed living, combining barrier-free housing with non-medical care and transport support services. Cherry Brook Health Care Center - A 100-bed, skilled nursing facility, offering short term rehabilitation, outpatient rehabilitation and long term care. New Horizons Middlebury - A five unit community-based apartment complex, offering affordable, fully accessible housing for seniors and/or adults with physical disabilities. Our organization provides a continuum of care that includes housing and support services for people with physical disabilities as well as rehabilitation and inpatient nursing home care. Our community provides an environment of support in order to promote residents individual growth, self-determination, and the ability to reach their greatest potential. We are shaped by the population we serve. Over half of our Board of Directors and Committees are comprised of people who have disabilities.
