What Is Netball NSW?

From humble beginnings in 1929 when it had only a handful of players, Netball NSW has grown to become one of the largest independent sporting organisations in this state. With over 114,000 members playing and enjoying netball at all levels, in all corners of New South Wales, our sport continues to grow both on and off the court as Netball NSW becomes increasingly successful. History proves that NSW is one of the most successful netballing states in Australia, claiming countless state titles and producing some of the best players in the country. Much of this success can be attributed to the wide range of programs and services Netball NSW offers to it's members - from the grassroots level through to the elite. With the introduction of a new Australian-only netball competition in 2017, Netball NSW has expanded our footprint with two elite teams - the NSW Swifts and new Club, GIANTS Netball. Our Mission Statement: To provide to the NSW community sporting leadership and partnership through netball education and training programs, an extensive range of competitions and national success. It will be achieved through professional management and support to all administrative levels involved with the game so that these entities are financially viable. Delivery of netball, The delivery of high quality coaching and umpiring programs, NSW Swifts Professional netball team
