What Is National Grid Group?
The National Grid Group plc is an international organization committed to creating electricity and telecommunications networks around the world. The Company was formed as part of the deregulation and privitization process that the United Kingdom began in 1989, and is responsible for the high voltage electricity transmission network in England and Wales. National Grid is seeking opportunities around the world to create shareholder value by developing and managing electricity network assets and systems, and concentrating on technical and commercial maintenance of telecommunications networks. The Company is structured on a regional basis and has Group directors responsible for Europe, Latin American and North America. Operations in other parts of the world are managed by Group Business Development. It already has a number of successful businesses in Argentina, Brazil, the United Kingdom, the United States and Zambia.
