Early 2016, just after Baroness Patricia Scotland has been elected SG of the Commonwealth of Nations (CW), Frédéric DEGRET (FD) had been invited — as an expert in environmental & climate regeneration — to participate to 4 brainstorming sessions for the constitution of a climate action plan for the 53 Commonwealth nations (gathering 2.4 billion citizens, 1/3 of the global lands mass, 2/3 of controlled waters, common laws and common trade agreements). For such a mission, Baroness Scotland requested the high commitment and presence of the 53 head of states + representatives of the financial sector (private, public, ONGs) + multi-sector experts. During the sessions, FD had the chance to listen and understand the inputs, challenges, capabilities, constraints, goals, expectations, possibilities and restrictions… of the parties.
