What Is NGFS?

NGFS is committed to the physical well-being of its students. Physical education and student-directed play are a regular part of the curriculum at NGFS at all levels. Beginning in Galaxy, our students have the opportunity to play on co-curricular sports teams. Our 5th-8th graders have the option of participating in the Independent School League competing against other local independent schools. This league began in the early 1990's, with NGFS being a charter member, as a way for middle division age students to have a healthy environment in which to participate in sports. Students currently have the opportunity to participate in soccer, flag football, volleyball, basketball and cross country. This league is co-ed and everyone who wants to play is on the team. At NGFS we try to give equal playing time to all participants. The focus is on sportsmanship, team work and being active.
