The NEFCO Corporation was founded in 1981 when a small fastener distributorship, Northeastern Fasteners, was acquired in Hartford, CT. Since 1981, NEFCO has diversified its product offering, expanded its distribution capabilities, and created many value added services. NEFCO has grown into a large stocking distributor of strut in all types and materials, threaded rod, pipe hangers, fasteners, tools, anchors, safety supplies, abrasives, and onsite supplies. Over the years NEFCO has established a number of value added services to complement its broad product line. This enables NEFCO to offer the whole package as a construction and industrial supplier. These services include: a rental division, a tool repair division, and a engineering services division, which incorporates the planning, designing, and development of large plumbing and structural support systems. Additionally, NEFCO offers a unique Quality Assurance program along with this ISO 9001 certification. NEFCO has grown its infrastructure by expanding its distribution capabilities with the establishment of five strategically located distribution centers in addition to its original Connecticut headquarters. Those distribution centers are located in Boston, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, New York City (Bronx), Albany, NY and Fort Lauderdale, FL. NEFCO is proud of its veteran inside and outside sales staff many of which have been with NEFCO since the company began in the early 1980s.
