Local owners Terry and Mandy Garrison set out five years ago to fulfill a need in the community and have accomplished it with the help of four business telephone lines, NCTC's Metro Area Calling Service, an NCTC supplied and maintained business key system, DSL Broadband Service and NCSS Security Service. "We place many of our orders electronically and several of our customers send us their orders by e-mail. We also have a point of purchase system that allows us to process credit cards and do all of our orders electronically," said James Olinde, store manager. "We could do it without technology, but it sure would take a lot longer." Olinde has managed several large building supply stores in larger areas, so the big question is: How does NCTC's technology stack up?
