What Is My Gym Enterprises?

Every day at over 750 My Gyms in nearly 30 countries worldwide, children have loads of fun as they develop physically, cognitively, and emotionally. My Gym programs focus on growth in all three categories because we view each step of development in these areas as a “building block” toward becoming a happy, healthy, well-adjusted human being. The thrill of accomplishment from achieving a physical task builds self-esteem and confidence that carry over into all aspects of a child’s life. My Gym’s program helps children develop independence, self-discipline, social skills and even a sense of humor, all of which lead to an increased feeling of self-worth. A child who feels good about him/herself has a jump start on the path to success. The My Gym program is the most innovative in the children’s educational fitness industry. In addition to the development of award-winning programs for children ages 6 weeks to 10 years, My Gym Enterprises has also developed financial, marketing, and administrative systems that help our franchisees every step of the way as they grow their business. MGE’s continuing support to our franchisees is unparalleled in the field of franchising. HISTORY The innovative My Gym concept began bouncing around in 1983 when our three founders – Yacov and Susi Sherman and Bill Caplin – collaborated to create a truly unique children’s fitness curriculum. Each having a different fitness-focused background: dance, gymnastics, and overall athletics, the trio put together a program that combined all three. Their ultimate goal? To give kids a place to call their own – not mom’s gym, not dad’s gym – my gym. Enter Cory Bertisch and Monique Vranesh, family friends of the Shermans. With Cory and Monique’s aid and ambition, the My Gym franchise opportunity became official in 1994 and spread strategically across the United States before expanding internationally in 2008. #franchise #franchising #entrepreneur #fitness
