The Multicultural Council of Windsor and Essex County \n\nThe MCC 's mission is to create a welcoming community for all through education, community engagement and the promotion of diversity and equality. \n\nEmbracing our vision of being an innovative leader in facilitating the development of an inclusive and welcoming community, the MCC serves to support both those within underrepresented sectors and those within our community. \n\nAs champions of diversity and harmony, our organization strives to identify and remove cultural and societal barriers. The MCC provides programming in the areas of Language, Orientation, and Welcoming, Settlement and Integration, Health, and Wellness, Special Events, and Community Engagement based on individual eligibility and suitability. \n\nIn our community, the MCC is a driving force for campaigns and initiatives designed to build healthy, vibrant, and diverse relationships. \n\nOur agency developed, launched, and received provincial recognition for the \Harmony Ribbon\- a visible symbol of the mutual respect and understanding that we have for one another, and a sign of our desire to live in a community that is free from racism and discrimination. \n\nOur award-winning Carrousel of the Nations has been a staple of the summer festival season for decades, celebrating the diversity and cultural identities of Windsor’s ethnic communities. Carrousel offers residents and visitors the experience of many cultural groups, emphasizing the traditions of music, food, dance, and art. \n\nFor over forty-five years, the MCC has recognized, celebrated, and assisted the ethno-cultural communities of Windsor and Essex County.
