What Is Mission Critical Solutions?

Mission Critical Solutions (MCS) is more than just a name; it is a promise and a commitment to results that has been our secret to success. Founded in 1989 as a small storefront selling computer equipment and services to small businesses and walk-in customers, MCS quickly grew by earning a reputation as a "results-oriented" technology provider, thus gaining the trust of many midsize and large corporations. This was to become the catalyst of MCS's migration from a local Tampa Bay services provider to a national converged technology solutions provider. Today we are an IP (Internet Protocol)-Converged Technology solutions provider with a national footprint and enjoy the unique status as being the fastest growing privately owned technology firm in the Tampa Bay area for four years running. Headquartered in Tampa, Florida, MCS has established a broad range of Convergence Technology products and services that we group into three main divisions - Building Automation, Information Systems, and Telecommunications - as our core business lines. Our growth has been consistent over 18 years; we currently boast a full-time staff of over 250 employees, with branch and project offices located throughout the United States, and we have performed successfully on several major Department of Defense (DoD) projects overseas. With 15 Registered Communications Distribution Designers (RCDDs) on staff, more than any other 8(a) small business in the country, and a résumé of many of the largest and most complex building automation projects in the Southeast United States, MCS is an industry leader in an ever-increasing area of mission critical IP-Converged Technology solutions for our clients nationwide. MCS holds numerous hard-earned telecommunications certifications including Avaya, Cisco, NEC, and Nortel and is a Microsoft-Certified Solutions Partner. We are the only small business, 8(a) or HUBZone contractor to achieve National Top Ten Federal Business Partner status with Avaya. We are an IBM Authorized Quality Warranty Service Provider and consistently rank among the highest in IBM's customer service surveys. Other areas of expertise that are subsets within our three main divisions include Information Technology (IT) Support (Local Area Network (LAN), Metropolitan Area Network (MAN), Wide Area Network (WAN) and desktop), Communications Engineering and Installation (Telecom, Voice, Video, and Video Teleconferencing (VTC)), PBX Switches (NEC, Nortel, Avaya, Mitel), Application Development and Support (Web, Database, Government off-the-Shelf (GOTS), and Commercial off-the-Shelf (COTS)), and Visual Information and Multimedia Services. MCS has an exceptional reputation for customer satisfaction. Our corporate officers are highly visible to both clients and staff. Our solid managerial competence is the main reason for our exceptional list of satisfied and repeat customers. In addition, the U.S. Small Business Administration named our President and Founder, Mr. Gilbert Gonzalez, the Florida Small Business Person of the Year, and MCS was a finalist in both 2004 and 2005 for the Greater Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year. MCS has long-standing commitments and a comprehensive experience base focused on delivering proven solutions that ensure our customers' mission is achieved, at low risk. Our proven history translates into streamlined communication and operational processes, faster response time, and the ability to operate as an integrated team. It is this unique combination of outstanding and committed business and technology professionals combined with our depth and breadth of diverse industry experience that sets MCS apart.
