What Is Minnetonka Public Schools?

The Minnetonka Public School District is a high performing school district proudly serving families in all or part of 10 communities: Minnetonka, Chanhassen, Deephaven, Eden Prairie, Excelsior, Greenwood, Shorewood, Tonka Bay, Victoria and Woodland. We serve approximately 10,000 students in grades K-12. Our students attend one of six elementary schools, two middle schools, and one high school. All six of our neighborhood elementary schools offer English and either Spanish or Mandarin Chinese Immersion. The immersion programs expanded into our middle schools in the 2012-13 school year. We are a leader in using technology as an accelerator to learning. We offer computer coding, beginning in Kindergarten, and we offer a 1:1 iPad program for students from 5th through 12th grade, among other programs and initiatives. In addition, our birth-to-5 Early Childhood Family Education Program serves families and children during the most critical early developmental years. We are a great place to work: * High quality teaching staff committed to student growth * Financial stability with no budget cuts in more than 12 years * Visionary Superintendent and supportive administration * Dedicated parent, neighborhood, and business communities * Growing student enrollment * Ongoing professional development and leadership opportunities * Expanding Fine Arts program * State test scores are among the best in the state * Robust technology plan which has given teachers the tools to accelerate student learning With a focus on 21st century skills, we educate the whole student. Our high quality staff is committed to helping each student develop the knowledge, skills, confidence and character to thrive in a changing world.
