Minnesota Reading Corps and Minnesota Math Corps Revenue and Competitors

Right now, one in every three 3rd graders in Minnesota does not read at grade level. Minnesota Reading Corps is taking action to change that. Minnesota Reading Corps is the largest AmeriCorps tutoring program in the country with the goal of helping every child become a successful reader by the end of third grade. AmeriCorps members are trained to deliver research-proven interventions in elementary schools, center-based preschools, Head Start centers, and Family Child Care sites throughout the state. This year, 1,400 tutors will help 30,000 children, age 3 to grade 3, get ready to learn in Kindergarten and on track for reading proficiently by 3rd grade. Join us in making a difference for our littlest learners. Minnesota Reading Corps tutors commit to one year of service in their community. Tutors come from all walks of life – they are recent college graduates, career changers, stay-at-home parents, veterans, and retirees. We provide the training and ongoing coaching to ensure tutors can be successful regardless of their background.
