Minnesota Alliance With Youth works to ignite the spark in all young people to become actively engaged, develop strong voices, and acquire skills needed for success in school, work, and life. OUR VISION That all young people in Minnesota are highly connected to their communities, have hope for a brighter future, and are able to fulfill their dreams. OUR GOALS - Strengthen youth success in school and learning. - Increase youth engagement in communities. - Develop and magnify youth voice. - Advance networking, collaboration, and innovation with entities that share our vision. The Minnesota Alliance With Youth is the leading convener, collaborator, and capacity-builder for youth development in Minnesota. We work with and for youth to ensure that all young people have access to fundamental resources proven to ensure that youth succeed ? the ?Five Promises? ? caring adults, safe places, a healthy start, effective education, and opportunities to help others. Since 1997, the Minnesota Alliance With Youth has been working with young people, their schools and communities to ensure that innovative approaches inspire academic and civic engagement. The Alliance is an affiliate of the America?s Promise Alliance and is the statewide host and coordinator of the AmeriCorps Promise Fellow program and the Alliance VISTA program. The Alliance additionally hosts the Minnesota Youth Council, a collaboration of youth and adults working together to empower and mobilize youth across the state to exercise their voices, opinions and ideas to take action on youth issues, as well as GradMinnesota, a campaign to reach 90% graduation rate by 2020 in Minnesota.
