Add Company

In 1971, Mid-Park was started out of a barn in Western Hardin County, Kentucky. This company was a part-time sole proprietorship owned by Nelson Bernard, who had been a tool and die maker since 1956. In early 1976, Alan Bernard, Nelson's son, bought half of the company. With help from Nelson, who was still employed elsewhere, Alan and a part-time employee began doing machine shop as well as some stamping work. In the fall of 1977, Alan and Nelson decided that the business had outgrown the barn. Three acres bordering the new Industrial Park in Leitchfield, Kentucky were purchased and a 3,000 square foot building was constructed. In early 1984, Alan bought Nelson's half of the company with the intention of adding new product lines and increasing the size of operations. Today, Mid-Park has grown to three divisions and has four major product lines. We believe the key to this success comes from our dedication to giving our customers the best service in the business. We take pride in our workmanship, our accomplishments, and our company. We have adopted the principle of Commitment to Continuous Quality Improvement in all areas and functions of our Company.
