Michigan Senate Democrats Revenue and Competitors

The Democratic Caucus in the Michigan State Senate is 16 Senators strong, supported by nearly 100 staff members. We're committed to putting the people back in power so we can tackle the issues most important to Michiganders. That means: Fighting to create better jobs and stronger paychecks; fixing Michigan’s crumbling roads and infrastructure; ensuring every family’s drinking water is safe from toxic chemicals; investing in our kids and schools so future generations have the opportunity to succeed; making sure everyone has access to affordable health care; reining in prescription drug prices; and preserving our natural resources, because as Michiganders, it's our responsibility to protect our Great Lakes. We have a lot of work ahead of us. We know we can only build the kind of Michigan that dignifies all of us when everyone has a seat at the table. In fact, we are the first caucus in Michigan history to have an equal number of women and men lawmakers. Our members are gay, straight, black, white, Latinx, Asian-American, Jewish and more, and the staff who support our caucus broaden our scope of identities and experiences.
