Winemaker Paul Bonarrigo's heritage lies in Messina, Sicily, and Merrill's family hails from Hof, Germany. When it was founded in Bryan, Texas, in 1977, Messina Hof was one of only 3 Texas wineries. Today Texas, the fastest growing wine producing state in America, boasts over 50 wineries.
