What Is Merz Apothecary?
Merz Apothecary is a 144-year-old retail pharmacy and boutique in Chicago, selling unique, natural and hard-to-find health and personal care products from around the world. Merz Downtown is our Chicago Loop location, originally opened in 2003. Smallflower is our Internet Retailer Hot 100 (2013) e-commerce and direct mail catalog brand, which has been in operation since 1998. Smallflower is also a top-tier Amazon marketplace seller. In 2014, we launched Q Brothers, our men's grooming and niche fragrance store adjoining the flagship Apothecary in Lincoln Square. In 2016, Qbrothers.com launched as a fully-featured e-commerce site. All of these brands together make up our bustling, family-owned business, with a decidedly non-corporate work atmosphere on Chicago's North Side (Lincoln Square).
