This means the new plant has significantly reduced levels of effluent compared to other yarn dye operations around the globe. The new plant also has a reduced carbon footprint because the technical advances in the dyeing and drying processes use much less electricity and natural gas than in a conventional plant. Meridian’s novelty spinning operation in Ranlo, North Carolina, produces coarse count novelty yarn from various substrates using six different yarn formation technologies.
