The firm was founded by Andrew M. Edison, David T. McDowell and Thomas F. A. Hetherington, three highly regarded trial attorneys in Houston, Texas. The firm was renamed McDowell Hetherington in January 2018 when founding partner Andrew Edison was appointed to the federal bench as a United States Magistrate Judge.
