What Is Maybury Associates?
Maybury's Service Technicians serve our customers in two ways. Their first function is responding to breakdown calls by troubleshooting and repairing powered equipment, including: Crown fork lifts, Advance sweepers and scrubbers, dock equipment and conveyor systems. Their other responsibility is to perform whatever work is scheduled by our customers' preventive maintenance programs. Our 22 technicians are grouped into three self-managed teams. We have found that the members of these teams work very well together. The Team Leader (Senior Technician) for each team goes through Crown Training, then trains all the other technicians in the group. Our Service Technicians work from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily, and emergency service is available for those clients who have signed up for it. When asked what sets Maybury's Service Technicians apart from the competition, Powered Equipment Operations Manager John Durham listed all of the following: 1. INDUSTRY LONGEVITY - Maybury's Techs average over 10 years of material handling experience. 2. FAST RESPONSE TIME - They get to breakdowns in an average of four hours. 3. LOW REWORK RATE - Our service techs are very rarely called back because a repair was not done correctly; their rework rate is less than 1%, while the industry standard is 3%. 4. STATE-OF-THE-ART COMMUNICATION - They maintain excellent communication with the main office and with each other through the use of Blackberries. Their Blackberries also enable them to access truck repair history for any vehicle that Maybury has serviced. Maybury's service area includes western Massachusetts (as far east as Worcester) and all of Connecticut (with the exception of Fairfield County).
