What Is Matandy Steel and Metal Products?
In August of 1987, Matandy Steel and Metal Products, L.L.C. was founded by Frank Pfirman in the spare bedroom of his parent's home in Hamilton, Ohio. Named after his two sons, Matt and Andy, the company quickly grew and relocated to a new, independent office location where our experienced sales team expanded. In 1991, a joint venture with Miami Valley Steel of Piqua, Ohio created Lindsey Steel Processing in Franklin, Ohio. The company, named after Frank's daughter, Lindsey, allowed Matandy to control and inspect its production of slit coil products. Additionally Matandy purchased a roofing nail manufacturing company in Winston-Salem, N.C. and in 1997 relocated the nail production to our new 20,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Hamilton.
