The mission of Maranatha Christian Academy is to train and equip students for life and for service to Jesus Christ through a biblical worldview, character development, and academic excellence. Established in 1974, Maranatha offers preschool through 12th grade in traditional classroom settings serving approximately 550 students from over 100 local churches in western Kansas City. Our vision is for MCA to be sought out by Christian parents, locally and internationally, who desire their children to be world changers for our Lord Jesus Christ. As a college preparatory academy starting in Preschool 2 through 12th grade, Maranatha is accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and AdvancED, the regional accrediting agency for schools and colleges. The school has earned a high level of credibility and success since its establishment in 1974. MCA offers dual college credit courses, 13 sports, band, choir, art, foreign language and top notch Bible curriculum. Our graduates are well prepared to be successful in college or any other life pursuit they choose. Maranatha pursues excellence in all we do as we partner with parents and the local church to develop world changing young people. In an educational environment that emphasizes that each student should have a vibrant relationship with Jesus led by the Holy Spirit, we richly equip students with biblical wisdom, help them form godly character and enable them to achieve academic distinction. Our students are thereby transformed to have an impact like Moses, Daniel and Paul.
