What Is Managing General Agents’ Association (MGAA)?
The Managing General Agents' Association (MGAA) is a UK-based not for profit organisation dedicated to representing true MGAs in the UK and Republic of Ireland.\n\nFormed in 2011, the MGAA also aims to provide a better understanding of what MGAs are and the contribution they make to the insurance industry.\n\nWe work within the professional framework of the Chartered Insurance Institute and our members sign the MGAA Code of ethics. \n\nThe MGAA currently has 170 full members representing over £6.1bn of underwriting capacity. They are joined by 43 market practitioner members and 99 supplier members.\n\nThe board of elected directors leads the organisation. In addition, five separate committees deliver benefits for members with a clear aim of shaping the future of delegated underwriting.
