What Is Lithion Technologies?

Lithion Technologies has developed a sustainable, robust, and cost-effective solution to produce strategic materials from end-of-life lithium-ion batteries and non-compliant components. These batteries are found in everyday items such as electric cars, rechargeable tools, and electronic equipment. \n\nOur technologies enable the recovery of up to 95% of the components of these batteries so that they can be reused to make new ones. We offer a concrete way to close the loop on battery life-cycle by creating a secondary source of strategic materials (lithium, nickel, cobalt). \n\nLithion Technologies aims for a worldwide deployment of its technology, which began with the construction of a pilot plant in 2019, and continues today with the construction of our first commercial critical minerals extraction plant near Montreal, Canada.\n\nLithion's processes drastically reduce the ecological debt of lithium-ion batteries and electric vehicles. We make the energy transition truly sustainable!
