Literacy Now Revenue and Competitors

Literacy Now is a non-profit organization transforming communities by empowerinng children and families through literacy, leadership and life skills. It was founded in 2006 by Jerry Davis to address the severe disadvantages faced by low- income children in Houston. All programs provide a foundation for academic success through the promotion of literacy development and students’ social/emotional learning. Making It Better is an organization uniquely qualified to fill a significant gap in services within public schools through programming that includes small group reading interventions and afterschool programs that focus on building skills for future success. Additional programs include a volunteer-facilitated mentoring program, parent/toddler classes promoting reading readiness skills and Family Literacy outreach events that provide parent education, support and materials to promote literacy and reading as a way of life.
