MISSION: The mission of Lipscomb Academy is to serve students so that they may master knowledge and skills appropriate to them and become Christ-like in attitude and behavior. OUR ENVIRONMENT: To say that there are a lot of schools in Nashville would be a vast understatement. There seems to be one on every corner: big, little, old, new, public, private, athletic, academic, all girls, all boys, conservative, and liberal. So why do we choose Lipscomb? Why do generation after generation of the same families, as well as new ones come to Lipscomb? What is so special about this place we call home? There is a uniqueness of purpose here that seems to set the mood of the entire campus. The atmosphere is friendly; teachers smile, and administrators take time to listen. Growth and learning are encouraged, not merely tolerated. Together we share victories and defeats, surprises and disappointments, life and death. "There's a sweet, sweet Spirit in this place."
