What Is L.D. Docsa and Associates?

L.D. Docsa Associates, Inc. (LDD) is a true general contracting firm established forty (40) years ago and incorporated in 1962. The company was founded on self-performing as much of the work on each project as possible in order to maintain high quality standards and ensure timely completion. LDD currently manages $15 to $20 million each year in construction contracts, which include a mix of industrial and building construction for public and private owners. Typically projects undertaken by LDD would include; water and wastewater treatment plants, manufacturing plants, renovated buildings, schools, parks, etc. LDD also excels in Design-Build projects. LDD typically self performs work in the following areas; earthwork, site utilities, demolition, concrete, carpentry, steel erection, specialties installation and general conditions. Work has also been performed in many specialty areas including piling installation, dewatering, and metal building construction. This allows LDD to achieve a quicker start on projects, and have better control of scheduling and quality. LDD is a "Hands-On" General Contractor and not a management company. We are highly geared towards technology, through the use of computerized accounting, estimating, scheduling, communications, design drafting, and project management. The entire scope of each project is tracked by computer software from start to finish. Programs used for this purpose would include AutoCAD, Timberline Accounting, Timberline Project Management, Suretrak Project Manager, and Prolog Project Management. LDD has even begun to link jobsite computers to the home office, which allows the superintendents to check the status of their project, with regards to schedules, submittals, punch lists, etc. It also gives them the capability to write RFI's, letters, safety notices, etc. and have them logged along with the office correspondence, making the jobs more efficient. We believe that this improves communication with the Owner and Architect Engineer through the growing use of E-mail. LDD thrives on the challenge of complicated projects and in satisfying the needs of our clients.
