Kris-Way Truck Leasing Revenue and Competitors

Founded in 1978, Kris-Way Truck Leasing, Inc. has evolved into a transportation service company dedicated to the quality of services that today's market demands. While full service truck leasing was and continues to be the company's major source of revenue, legislative rule-making along with changing customer needs, have created new opportunities for Kris-Way and its customers alike. Today, in addition to full service leasing, Kris-Way offers contract maintenance and dedicated contract carriage. The administrative office and largest maintenance facility are located in the company's 55,000 square foot building located on 12 acres in South Portland. Additionally, Kris-Way maintains facilities in Auburn, Bangor, Saco, Portland, and Waterville, Maine; and Dover, New Hampshire; as well as Clifton Park and Schodack Landing, New York. From those locations Kris-Way owns and/or maintains over 2300 vehicles. Over the road maintenance service and fueling is provided through Kris-Way's affiliation with NationaLease - part of a federation of over 165 independent leasing companies that offer services to companies operating in excess of 150,000 pieces of equipment. Approximately 230 people are currently employed at Kris-Way with 110 involved directly in vehicle maintenance, 75 drivers, and the remainder in administration and support. Our customer base is as diverse as the service that we provide. It includes local, regional, and national concerns as well as numerous industries with varied distribution problems, often requiring unique solutions. We believe the success and growth that we have enjoyed is in large part due to our flexibility and willingness to respond quickly to customer requests. In many instances, our growth has developed from the partnerships that we have formed with outstanding customers who continue to expand. Consistent with our observations, our mission is to continue to provide quality distribution alternatives, solid employment, and reinforce our commitments to the communities we serve.
