What Is Keventers?
Keventers is India's iconic dairy brand with a legacy of over 100 years best known for its authentic & delicious milkshakes. Re-established in 2015 by 3 entrepreneurs Agastya Dalmia, Aman Arora & Sohrab Sitaram, Keventers has grown to become one of the fastest growing & most recognized quick service restaurants across India. Within a short span of time, Keventers, which began as a single outlet in south Delhi, has now expanded exponentially to include over 140+ outlets across tier I & II cities across India & even abroad. In 1889, Mr. Edward Keventer, a Swedish dairy technologist landed in India to with an aim to establish a thriving dairy business. In 1894, Mr. Keventer took over the management of the Aligarh Dairy Farm & converted it into a profitable business by the name of Edward Keventer Pvt. Ltd. By 1904, Mr. Keventer expanded the business beyond Aligarh & established branches in Darjeeling, Calcutta, Shimla and Delhi. Over the years,Mr. Keventer was able to scale the business to newer heights & even established an additional dairy farm in Delhi by 1925. By 1937, Keventers became a name synonymous with pure & good quality dairy products across India. After the passing of Mr. Edward Keventer in 1940 the brand continued to do well for itself for a while before being sold to Mr. Ram Krishna Dalmia who then renamed it as 'Edward Keventers Successors'. Mr. Dalmia successfully ran the company till the 1970s before the Govt of India took over the land of the Delhi based dairy farm which ultimately led to the dissolution of the brand altogether. Several decades later, in the year 2015 Mr. RK Dalmia's grandson Agastya Dalmia and his close friend Aman Arora decided to revamp & revive the brand. They were also joined in their pursuit by eminent restaurateur & hospitality consultant Sohrab Sitaram. Thus began the revived journey of Keventers as we know it now. Keeping the vintage tone alive with its signature glass bottles, the trio have completely revamped the brand in a way that makes it strike a chord with modern day consumers. This re-imagined Keventers is a subtle balance between the old and the new. www.keventers.com
