Kano was inspired by a challenge from a 6 year old; create a new computer that is as simple and fun to make as Lego. Kano has developed with the help of hundreds of young people, artists and teachers worldwide and has raised seed funding from Index Ventures, James Higa, Troy Carter and Shana Fisher, among others.In 2015, it announced a Series A led by Jim Breyer, with participation from Jim O'Neill and Collaborative Fund. Based in London, Team Kano is highly-international and super passionate about empowering a new creative generation - a billion young creators worldwide.
