What Is Just Candy?

At WH Candy, we believe people make the difference. Each one of our associates is encouraged to actively participate in shaping our business. We are committed to our Core Values: Innovation, Teamwork, Integrity, Financial Strength, Quality of Service & Giving Back. Innovation has shaped us from the beginning when Ed Carson became a grandparent in 1993. Euphoric over the birth of his granddaughter, Ed happened to gaze upon a HERSHEY'S® chocolate bar and thought to himself "HERE SHE IS." Equipped with a computer, printer and great imagination, Ed soon had a stack of pink wrappers announcing Elise's arrival. He took the personalized birth announcements to the hospital and not too long after Elise was born, Wrapped Hershey's (WH) Candy was founded. By 1995, through word of mouth, this small business had expanded its reach to all 48 continental United States. Today, with a 16,000-square-foot office, production, and warehouse facility that includes a graphic design department and ships nearly 3 million personalized wrapped bars to destinations all over the world. And, while birth announcements continue to make up a large percentage of business, we wrap candy chocolate bars with the classic foil-end look for weddings, graduations, anniversaries, holidays, corporate promotions, and other special occasions. WH Candy has sold more than 100 million personalized HERSHEY'S chocolate bar wrappers. Today WH Candy is owned by Steve Mandell, another entrepreneur, who founded the Party City retail stores around the same time Ed founded WH Candy. As an expert in the celebrations and party favors business, Steve is broadening and expanding WH Candy to include candy and favors for special occasions, bulk candy, gift items, hundreds of personalized favors for every occasion, corporate logo and custom promotional candy items, and more.
