What Is John McAslan and Partners?

John McAslan + Partners is a leading, award-winning international architectural practice based in London, with a further office in Edinburgh. An extensive portfolio of award-winning projects in the UK and overseas includes cultural, heritage, infrastructure, hospitality, commercial, residential, education, urban design and landscape sectors.\r\n\r\nThe practice's ethos is to provide outstanding, innovative architecture that works in the context of social needs as much as the physical environment. We work closely with our clients to provide solutions that respond to their needs.\r\n\r\nThe practice is well known for the imaginative and sensitive regeneration of historic buildings – in addition to Friends House, the home of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in Britain, which has received this year's RIBA London Award, other notable examples include the acclaimed transformation of King’s Cross Station, which has won some 27 international awards, the redevelopment of the Heal’s building, and the Roundhouse in Camden.\r\n\r\nOur international portfolio includes the redevelopment of the historic Stanislavsky Factory in Moscow, the British Embassy in Algiers and the restoration of the Iron Market in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. We are currently working on 16 projects in Doha, Qatar, the Anand Vihar Transport Hub in Delhi, a redevelopment of the historic Bolshevik Factory site in Russia, a masterplan for the Royal British Columbia Museum in Victoria, Canada, and a number of initiatives in countries such as Nairobi, Rwanda, Malawi and Uganda.\r\n\r\nCloser to home, we are working on the new Crossrail Bond Street Station in London, which will handle 230,000 passengers a day from 2018, and a new series of Music Practice Rooms for New College, Oxford. \r\n\r\nThe practice has won in excess of 90 international awards, including some 20 RIBA Awards, and has been named Architectural Practice of the Year and World Architect of the Year on a number of occasions.
