What Is Joe's Movement Emporium?

Joe’s Movement Emporium (World Arts Focus, Inc.) is a cultural arts hub that acts as a catalyst for creativity and economic opportunity for all through programs and productions in education, the performing arts, and work readiness. Programs At Joe’s Camp Joe’s Joe’s has four summer arts camps and a creative robotics camp. Arts camps are a multi-disciplinary arts experience that not only teaches different cultures but nurtures self-expression and self-worth through creativity. The creative robotics camp explores the world of arts and technology with skill building in basic robotics, technical theater operations, digital media, photography, and storytelling. Club Joe’s All children are provided two – three movement and visual arts classes per day, homework help and a healthy snack. Club Joe’s serves children from Mount Rainier, Thomas Stone, Glenarden Woods, Cesar Chavez, Hyattsville, University Park and Riverdale Elementary schools. Theater Tech Program Joe’s Theater Tech Program (TTP) is a workforce development initiative that provides low-income youth with instruction in theater tech operation and digital media. Paired with critical supports participants gain life and employability skills toward a successful future. Performances With a full season of performances there’s always something creative brewing at Joe’s. Shows include aerial arts, a variety of dance traditions ranging from West Africa to South Asia, music & concerts and theatrical plays.
