What Is Jobs For Youth?
Jobs For Youth (JFY) celebrates is 30th anniversary in 2010. In that time, Jobs For Youth has made over 26,000 job placements for Chicago's low-income 17-24 year olds. JFY offers pre-employment training, GED preparation and job placement services. JFY is one of four organizations nationwide that received recognition through the National Youth Employment Coalition's Promising & Effective Practices Network. Additionally, JFY is a member of America Forward, a group of seventy organizations nationwide focusing directly on the toughest domestic challenges facing our nation in education, public health, poverty and economic mobility, workforce development, crime prevention, and civic engagement.
