What Is International Waxes?

IGI Wax is the strategic partner of choice for companies who want value across the entire supply chain in the supply of wax, or wax alternative products. From feedstocks, production, to quality control, innovation and research, IGI is dedicated to supplying its customers with the right product at the right time, for every application and market.\n\nQuick Facts About IGI\n1. We are the world’s only truly dedicated paraffin and microcrystalline wax producer, utilizing internally sourced materials through backward integration to domestic US crude production, and with security of supply and consistent quality.\n2: 75 Years of Wax Expertise, including all types of wax, from petroleum, to natural and synthetic waxes, and wax alternative coatings.\n3: ISO-9001:2015 Quality Assurance\n\nHistory of IGI\nThe International Group, Inc. (IGI) has been in the wax business for over 75 years. Originally known as International Waxes Limited, IGI was founded in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, by William Reucassel in 1943, and incorporated in 1945. William Reucassel built Canada’s first solvent de-oiling petroleum wax refinery on a 3-acre piece of property in Agincourt, Canada in 1945. It was at this refinery that an oily by-product of lubricant oil manufacture, called slack wax, was converted into what we now refer to as fully refined paraffin wax.\n\nToday IGI owns and operates a fully integrated supply chain across North America, including unique US waxy crude production, multiple refineries, blend plants, terminals and transloading facilities. Our core competence is interacting and servicing customers with formulated solutions.\n\nAt IGI, Our Customers Define Quality\n\nOur customers tell us that they want consistent, quality product at the right time, every time. IGI is committed to this. From an exceptional R&D team and laboratories, experienced Sales and Customer Service Group, advanced manufacturing facilities, and dedicated logistics, IGI has the ability to deliver on our promise.
