The International School of the Peninsula (ISTP) is an independent, co-ed nursery-8th grade Mandarin Chinese and French bilingual school with two Palo Alto campuses. Since 1979, ISTP has been a leader in bilingual education and boasts a naturally global and diverse community. In the spirit of Silicon Valley innovation blended with academic tradition, the school educates students through a rigorous and dynamic bilingual program, inspiring them to develop an inquisitive and responsible international mindset. ISTP's top preschool (nursery through kindergarten) is located in idyllic mid-town Palo Alto, and is known for its nurturing and engaging environment and expansive outdoor space. ISTP's Cohn Campus, with easy access to HWY 101 and neighboring Stanford University, is home to the school's elementary and middle schools, which boasts a dedicated design thinking/maker space, a media hub, and innovative classrooms. ISTP offers complementary extended care for all students, free year-round care (during most school breaks and a majority of the summer) for students entering in nursery and pre-k, and provides experiential learning opportunities such as 6 different cultural immersion exchange trips to France, China, Taiwan, and Costa Rica.
