As the national arts organization for American children and the global arts organization for the world’s children, ICAF develops creativity and empathy -- valuable antidotes to many of the challenges the world is facing today. COVID-19 has shown that humanity falters without creativity and empathy. The symbiotic relationship between creativity and empathy can grow a virtuous cycle of sustainable prosperity, public health, and lasting peace. Human understanding of creativity and empathy is rooted in the arts. Though we need science to survive, children need the arts to thrive. -- Parents can foster their children’s creativity by using our free-of-charge lesson plan. -- Schoolteachers can leverage the Arts Olympiad to develop a creative school community. -- Your involvement in and support for the 2021 World Children’s Festival at the National Mall can make a world of a difference.
