Instor Solutions is a value-added reseller of a wide variety of products used to support the IT function in both large and small enterprises. That sounds like a lot, and in many respects it is. But we deliver these products with a singular objective, which keeps us focused. That is to listen to our customers and assist them in completing their mission by providing the right products at the right time, at consistently fair and competitive prices. Based in Northern California, today we sell everything from commodities such as computer media to highly technical solutions that help manage the enterprise. The company began as a sole proprietorship in July 1984. Then we were known as Apteryx and were primarily involved in designing and manufacturing custom racking solutions that enabled mainframe data centers to utilize floor space more efficiently. In the early 90's that experience made it possible for us to create similar solutions for customers with distributed environments deploying server farms. Along the way our product line expanded to include all types of media, media storage, specialized command center furniture, equipment enclosures and KVM switching. Our business continued to grow and in June 1996 the company incorporated and Instor Solutions was created. We added additional products and began focusing more on turnkey solutions, such as pre-labeling customers' media, and CD duplication. Our newest products include a software suite that provides system administrators with an economical and effective tool to manage the network, and a uniquely engineered seismic restraint system designed to protect equipment enclosures in the data center during an earthquake. Regardless of the product we are providing, we constantly look for ways that we can add value for our customers. Much of that value comes from the knowledge and experience of our dedicated team of sales professionals, who can assist in all aspects of product evaluation.
