Instantiations has a rich history of creating mission-critical software with teams of internationally-recognized pioneers in Smalltalk and Java software technology, and has been ranked among the top 100 companies influencing software development by SD Times. It was this expertise that led to partnerships and acquisitions with companies like IBM® and Google® as well as the development of our primary product line: the VAST Platform (VA Smalltalk). Since its release in 2005, the VAST Platform has built upon the foundation provided by IBM® VisualAge® Smalltalk and has continued to grow in power and flexibility through ongoing research and development. Now evolving beyond what the original VisualAge developers could have foreseen, VAST includes ARM processor support and JIT-based virtual machine technology well-suited to Internet of Things (IoT) and edge computing applications. Today, Instantiations continues to improve and support the VAST Platform while expanding services into new areas.
